The Lynx D is a portable DVR that can operate on internal battery power (four AA batteries) or an external DC source (using an AC adapter). Designed for quick use and setup, it can connect to a security/surveillance camera (using a phone-style jack) and record NTSC or PAL video using MPEG4 compression at HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW quality (selectable). Along with video, this portable DVR can also capture audio. It has a jack for connection to an external monitor.
