The Nubix 16HD is an advanced hybrid style standalone DVR that comes ready to connect to PC based systems (using MS Internet Explorer) and Mac/Apple based systems (using Safari browser). Easy to Use Setup Menu

The LINUX-based OS contains a graphical  setup/configuration menu that is understandable and laid out in a logical manner. Graphical icons present obvious selections to the user. These selections include:

Advanced Features for Professionals and Casual Users Alike

The biggest thing most users like about this DVR, whether they are professional security personnel or casual users (homeowners, etc.), is the picture.  Speed is also a concern. Everyone wants to capture a big picture and almost everyone wants "real time" (defined as 30 frames per second or greater). The Nubix HD series satisfies both demands.

All channels can record simultaneously at 30 frames per second in CIF resolution (352 x 240). Higher resolution settings can be obtained by dialing back some channels to slower frame rates and concentrating processing power on the camera you'd like to enhance. In this way you can reach D1 resolution at real time on a specific camera and gain the best of both worlds.

NOTE: Recording rates of 30fps on every channel at once is rarely necessary. If you want real time speed on all channels at once at D1 resolution, please see the Nubix 8HDX model, which is a higher end product and contains extra video processing power. Aside from the speed issue the Nubix HD and Nubix HDX series are identical in all other respects.
