History:

Rigorous Testing and our 3-Year Warranty

Many manufacturing facilities use vibration analysis to detect early signs of failure. Eclipse Corp. manufacturing facilities are no different.

Eclipse Corp. tests all assemblies and parts vs a standard vibration source profile for electronic equipment that contains rotating or moving parts.

Products that contain moving parts include digital video recorders that use standard hard disk drive technology (spinning heads, platters, rotors, etc.). These products are tested with special attention due to the unique type of vibration inherent to containers that hold standard hard disk drive technology, including optical disk drives and floppy disk drives (legacy holdover that will be phased out in time). Sinusoidal and repeated vibration that occurs inside the case is monitored closely. Failures, if any occur, are located and fixed using whatever means best addresses the situation, including re-design of physical parts and materials.

Solid state devices (such as CF drives, memory sticks, chipsets, discreet components) do not contain moving parts so are not subject to the standard vibration testing procedure. These products are testing using other rigorous procedures designed to locate and identify failures due to sources of shock and vibration external to the product.

Our testing procedures locate and help us address failures before a product is manufactured, eliminating troublesome errors and failures in the field. These processes are one of the reasons we can offer a 3-year warranty on our equipment, as detailed below.

This limited warranty certificate is provided by Eclipse Corp. to customers to document the following limited warranty.
