Reverting back to Internet Explorer 10 (via Windows 7)
- Go to “Start” and click on “Control Panel”
- Go to “Programs and Features”
- Click on “View installed updates” (top left corner)
- Search for “Internet Explorer” (top right corner search box)
- Right click on “Internet Explorer 11” and click “uninstall”
- Reboot computer when prompted and IE 10 will be back
- Windows Updates must not be automatically installed or IE 11 will install again.
- To confirm this, go to step 1
- Go to “Windows Update”
- Click on “Change settings” (top left corner)
- Under “Important Updates” select “Download updates but let me choose whether to install them”
- Save setting by clicking the “OK” button at the bottom
- You can still install other important updates from the main “Windows Update” window. Make sure to uncheck the box for IE11 if you do.
